Your new role
As a Secondary DesignEngineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of protection,control, and communication systems across high-voltage infrastructure projects.

Working within amultidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the development of compliant,reliable, and integrated designs. While substation projects will form a corepart of your work, you will also be exposed to broader transmission and gridinfrastructure.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing anddelivering protection and control systems across HV infrastructure (typically132kV330kV+)
• Supporting thedevelopment of detailed design deliverables including schematics, wiringdiagrams, and panel layouts
• Developing protectionphilosophies, relay settings, and coordination studies
• Contributing to SCADAand communication system design and integration
• Ensuring designs meetperformance, reliability, and regulatory requirements
• Coordinating withprimary, civil, and structural teams to ensure integrated design outcomes
• Supporting systemintegration, testing, and commissioning activities
• Assisting in resolvingtechnical challenges and improving design efficiency and quality
• Maintaining compliancewith Australian standards and project specifications

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree in ElectricalEngineering
• Experience in HVsecondary design across infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge ofprotection and control systems
• Experience withprotection schemes and relay configuration
• Familiarity withAustralian standards and grid requirements
• Experience in EPC,utilities, or engineering consultancies
• Strong communicationand teamwork skills
