About The Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Retail Manager to join Hirani and Jesani Trading Pty Ltd t/a BP Anna Bay on a full-time basis; you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of store operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving the business to achieve its strategic objectives. You will work closely with the owners to maintain high operational standards and contribute to the store's success.
Tasks Include:
- Manage daily operations of the fuel forecourt and convenience store
- Directing daily store operations to ensure maximum freshness and visually appealing produce displays.
- Oversee fuel stock levels, deliveries and pump functionality.
- Oversee store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, presentation and growth.
- Monitoring product shelf-life and implementing stock rotation strategies to minimize shrinkage and waste.
- Negotiating purchasing agreements with suppliers to secure high-quality produce.
- Handle cash management, POS operations, banking and daily reconciliation
- Supervise, train and roster staff to ensure smooth shift coverage.
- Recruiting new team members and conducting performance reviews against customer service targets.
- Ensure compliance with WHS, dangerous goods handling, food safety and tobacco regulations
- Enforcing workplace health and safety compliance, managing slip/trip hazards on wet floors, dangerous goods handling, food safety and tobacco regulations.
- Developing promotional initiatives, package deals, and local marketing strategies to drive foot traffic.
- Handling complex customer inquiries, managing retail refunds, and maintaining service quality.
- Liaise with management and other stakeholders to share insights and support the overall business objectives.
Qualifications and other requirements for Retail managers
- Diploma level qualifications or equivalent in management or other relevant field.
- Recent minimum of one year of relevant experience working in a retail management role within the same industry.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in inventory management, financial reporting, and data analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders
- Familiarity with relevant retail industry regulations and compliance requirements
- Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- A valid driver license with your own reliable vehicle.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $78,000.00–$83,000.00 plus superannuation per year
