We work in partnership with people and families who need individualised support services due to disability, ageing or mental ill-health.
Avivo are looking for a Support Worker to enable customers with mental health to remain living in their own home and stay connected to the community.
Our Beverleyteam are looking for someone who is available to work a few hours a week, with potential to expand availability over time. This would ideally suit someone who is wanting to pick up extra hours in a secondary role, or someone who is looking at returning slowly to the workforce. Whatever your situation is, we would love to hear from you if this appeals to you! We will provide you with all the training required for this position, all you need is a positive can-do attitude!
Duties will include:
- Personal care including showering and assist dressing
- Domestic assistance
- A range of clinical care - including administering medication (training provided)
- Manual tasks such as hoisting
- Social support including assistance with trips in and around the community
- Regular communication and engagement with your local team
On the job training and buddy shifts are provided to the successful candidates to develop competency across a broad range of skills!
You'll need:
- A valid driver's licence and a reliable vehicle (essential)
- Ability to facilitate people to develop and sustain their own social connections and relationships
- Excellent communication skills and a can do attitude to help ensure our customers receive flexible and individualised support
- Availability to attend mandatory and paid training during the week
- Current NDIS Worker Screening check or willingness to obtain one
- A qualification in Aged Care or Disability Support is desirable
