The purpose of the Radiation Therapy and Medical Oncology Veterinary Nurse is to provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to oncology patients undergoing cancer treatment.
This role supports the oncology team by assisting with diagnostic procedures, administering chemotherapy and monitoring anaesthesia for radiation therapy under veterinary supervision, monitoring patient trends, educating pet owners on treatment plans, side effects, and home care.
The veterinary nurse ensures the highest standards of safety, comfort, and emotional support for both patients and their families throughout the treatment journey.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • A Cert 4 in Veterinary Nursing with minimum 3 years of experience as a qualified vet nurse
  • A keen interest in Radiation Therapy, Medical Oncology and providing gold standard patient care with a desire to pursue professional and personal development
  • Confidence with anaesthesia and monitoring sedations
  • Excellent venepuncture skills
  • Fear free patient handling techniques
  • Excellent client communication skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritise tasks efficiently
  • Have a high level of enthusiasm and initiative
