Psychiatry Doctor – Supervised Medical Officer | ME Medical Recruitment
ME Medical Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatry doctor for a full-time position within a public hospital setting in Australia. This role is ideal for overseas-trained doctors looking to gain supervised experience while working toward full specialist registration and career progression in psychiatry.
About the Role
This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centred care to both inpatients and outpatients under the supervision of consultant psychiatrists. The successful candidate will also contribute to the education and supervision of junior medical staff, including Resident Medical Officers and Interns.
Rotations across multiple hospital sites may be available, offering diverse clinical exposure and training opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver psychiatric care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
- Participate in clinical supervision, teaching, and mentoring
- Support service improvement initiatives aligned with national healthcare standards
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold ethical standards of care
Eligibility Criteria
We welcome applications from candidates who:
- Have recent experience in psychiatry at senior registrar or consultant level in Australia
- Are eligible for AHPRA registration via the Competent Authority Pathway/Expedited Pathway
OR
Are eligible for the Specialist Pathway – Substantially Comparable (RANZCP assessment support available)
- Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and clinical skills
