Seeking a Project Officer with Infrastructure and project management experience

Your new company
Exciting opportunity to work with a large state government department, located in Osborne Park on a temporary basis until March 2027.

Your new role
Responsible for the Project Management of medium to high risk and medium to high value projects. Duties include:

  • Responsible for discrete elements of low to medium value and medium to high risk, complex projects.
  • Address project scope, time, cost, quality, human resource, communication, risk, contractual and project integration issues with support where required.
  • Contribute to or support in-house and private sector project teams to plan and deliver projects.
  • Administer project management systems and maintenance of information.
  • Access systems data, analyse trends and performance, and other information as required, to provide advice and reports to client agencies.
  • Assist with contract development and procurement.
  • Manage or administer contract management systems and maintenance of information.
  • Contribute to contract dispute resolution processes.
  • Build and maintain productive internal and external relationships with stakeholders, team members, colleagues, suppliers, contractors, consultants, and clients.
  • Provide general financial and administrative support to project teams and branch.
  • Issue invoices for works and services and verify accounts for payment.
  • Perform other duties as required.

What you'll need to succeed
Experience in project management specifically infrastructure project management.Relevant experience in the building or construction industry.Experience in contracting procedures.

  • Highly developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to liaise and deliver a customer-centric service.

What you'll get in return
The role is being offered on an initial temporary contract to start on the 21st September. You will also be offered:

  • 37.5 hours Monday to Friday
  • Weekly pay structure, equivalent to level 4 or 5 depending on experience
  • Office location Osborne Park
  • Paid parking close by
  • Close to train and bus stations
  • This is a 6-month temporary contract, with a possible extension
  • Successful candidates will need a current police clearance prior to starting
