Deliver civil infrastructure projects that support the Northern Territory

The Department of Logistics and Infrastructure is seeking an experienced civil construction professional to support the development and delivery of civil infrastructure projects across the Northern Territory.

Based in Palmerston, this role sits within Civil Services and contributes to the delivery of Minor New Works, Specific Maintenance and Capital Works projects. Depending on the level appointed, the successful applicant will manage assigned projects, undertake site representative duties, support procurement and contract management activities, and provide technical advice to ensure project outcomes are delivered safely, effectively and to the required standard.

About the Role

Working as part of a small, highly skilled and dynamic team, you will be involved in the delivery of civil construction projects on the Minor New Works and Specific Maintenance programs, and technical support for the delivery of Capital Works projects. The successful applicant will be part of a project team, working on a portfolio of projects independently as either the Superintendents Representative/Nominee or project Site Representative. Everyday duties in project management, quality control and providing technical advice to others in the department

About You

You will be someone who enjoys working in a civil construction and project delivery environment, with a strong focus on quality, safety and practical outcomes.

Depending on the level appointed, you may bring:

  1. Experience supporting or managing civil construction, road, maintenance or infrastructure projects
  2. Sound judgement and attention to detail in construction, contract and project management activities
  3. Confidence working with contractors, consultants, stakeholders and technical teams
  4. Strong communication skills and the ability to prepare clear project, procurement and contract documentation
  5. Sound knowledge of civil construction practices, standards and regulatory requirements
  6. A genuine interest in delivering infrastructure that supports communities across the Territory
