Job Title: Production Engineer

Location: Unit 8/9 Fitzpatrick Street, Revesby, NSW 2212

Employment Type: Full-time, 38 hours per week

Salary: $90,000–$110,000 plus Superannuation

About the Role:

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Engineer to join our team in New South Wales. This is a senior technical role responsible for driving production efficiency, leading process improvements, and supporting strategic manufacturing outcomes.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  1. Analyse, design, and continuously improve manufacturing processes, workflows, and production systems to maximise efficiency, output quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  2. Lead the development and implementation of advanced production strategies, including lean manufacturing principles, process optimisation, and waste reduction initiatives.
  3. Prepare and oversee manufacturing specifications, including materials selection, production methods, equipment requirements, and workflow sequencing.
  4. Design and optimise plant layouts, material handling systems, and production line configurations to improve operational performance and scalability.
  5. Evaluate production data, capacity planning, and resource allocation to support forecasting, scheduling, and operational decision-making.
  6. Collaborate with senior management, project managers, and factory teams to align engineering solutions with business objectives and project timelines.
  7. Provide technical oversight and guidance to production staff, including CNC operators and factory personnel, to ensure engineering standards are consistently met.
  8. Develop and implement quality assurance frameworks, testing procedures, and compliance standards in accordance with engineering principles and safety regulations.
  9. Identify risks, inefficiencies, and production bottlenecks, and implement corrective engineering solutions to improve overall performance.
  10. Oversee equipment performance, maintenance planning, and upgrades to ensure reliability and optimal utilisation of manufacturing assets.
  11. Support the integration of new technologies, automation systems, and digital manufacturing solutions within the production environment.
  12. Ensure all engineering processes comply with relevant Australian standards, workplace health and safety requirements, and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering).
  2. Demonstrated experience in a production engineering role within manufacturing, construction, or joinery environments.
  3. Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, process optimisation, and production planning.
  4. Proven ability to analyse complex data and implement practical engineering solutions.
  5. Experience with plant layout design, material flow optimisation, and production scheduling.
  6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  7. Desirable: Project Management qualifications or experience managing multi-stage production projects.
