Product/Category Support Assistant
- Support the CEO in expanding product range and supplier relationships.
- Provide technical support for sales teams and customers.
- Manage inventory planning and product lifecycle reviews.
Our client is a leading supplier of workshop equipment to the automotive service & repair sectors. Due to business growth, they are seeking a Product Support Assistant to help shape its technical direction, strengthen supplier relationships, and support commercial outcomes across the business. This is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Melbourne’s South East and is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands‑on, technical, and commercially minded environment.
Working closely with the CEO you will play a key part in expanding the product range, improving product performance, and supporting the CEO with supplier relationships, pricing, and competitor analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Supplier liaison to expand product offerings and monitor competitor activity and evaluate supplier performance
- Inventory planning to help determine and review min/max stock levels including product costs, descriptions, pricing.
- Technical support for sales teams and customers, including specifications and performance guidance.
- Product lifecycle review and recommendations for product changes.
- Catalogue and price list support in collaboration with marketing.
We are seeking a candidate with a good working knowledge of workshop equipment who is looking to further their career in Product/Category development.
Along with your sound communication skills, you will have solid computer literacy with strong Excel skills. A high level of attention to detail is required in this role, and the ability to work in a small, hands on team environment.
A solid salary will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
