Procurement Project Specialist – Technology
Contract to 20/12/2026 | Brisbane | Hybrid Working
We're partnering with a leading global mining group to recruit an experienced Procurement Project Specialist - Technology. In this role you will work closely with the procurement team, suppliers and stakeholders to deliver against our ambitious realisation of value across a range of technology contracts.
What you'll be doing
- Help develop and execute technology sourcing and negotiation strategies across services, software and infrastructure, with a focus on software;
- Bring their proven expertise and experience to cut through the complexity of enterprise software agreements and deliver on our speed to value commitment to the IS&T and Digital Leads.
- Identify opportunities for improvement within the Technology Procurement categories based on industry and market research, organisational priorities, supply chain risk and commercial opportunities.
- Provide commercial leadership and guidance to the relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure you continue to represent the Technology Procurement team by demonstrating a high level of professional capability and upholding core values of Care, Courage and Curiosity;
- Work closely with legal, finance and other business partners to support an efficient end to end source to contract experience for all stakeholders.
- Work effectively in a global team, which may mean working outside of normal business hours as required;
What we're looking for
- Significant prior experience in IT procurement sourcing and negotiations, with a strong track record of delivering successful commercial outcomes.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with demonstrated experience leading complex contract negotiations (particularly vendor software agreements).
- Ability to work productively with a high degree of individual autonomy and accountability, while still fostering a strong, supportive team environment.
- Proven ability to establish, manage, and maintain robust relationships with both internal business leaders and external suppliers.
- Proficiency in SAP, along with standard Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
