Are you a Planner or Senior Planner looking to take the next step in your career with a respected planning consultancy in Western Sydney? This is an opportunity to join a growing team delivering a diverse range of residential, commercial, mixed-use, industrial and infrastructure projects across NSW. Working alongside experienced planning professionals, you will play a key role in managing planning approvals, advising clients and navigating complex statutory planning processes from project inception through to approval.

Your New RoleReporting to senior members of the planning team, you will:

  • Prepare and manage Development Applications (DAs), Planning Proposals and supporting planning reports
  • Provide strategic and statutory planning advice to clients and stakeholders
  • Liaise with councils, state government agencies, consultants and project teams
  • Interpret NSW planning legislation, policies and planning controls
  • Conduct due diligence and planning investigations for development projects
  • Attend client meetings, community consultation sessions and stakeholder discussions
  • Manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality planning outcomes within deadlines

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Degree qualification in Urban Planning, Town Planning or a related discipline
  • Experience in statutory planning gained within:
    • Local Government
    • State Government
    • Private Planning Consultancy
  • Strong understanding of the NSW planning framework, including:
    • Environmental Planning & Assessment Act
    • Local Environmental Plans (LEPs)
    • Development Control Plans (DCPs)
    • State Environmental Planning Policies (SEPPs)
  • Experience preparing or assessing Development Applications
  • Excellent written communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively within a team
