Are you an experienced Planner/Scheduler looking to be part of major shutdown and maintenance projects within the mining and heavy industrial sectors?

We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from skilled and motivated Planner/Schedulers for upcoming shutdowns, turnarounds, and maintenance campaigns across the Gladstone region. These opportunities will support leading mining, mineral processing, port, and industrial operations.

As project demand continues to grow, we are building a talent pool of high-performing planning professionals to support upcoming short-term and long-term maintenance programs.

About the Role

As a Planner/Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and optimising maintenance and shutdown schedules to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective project delivery.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Developing detailed shutdown and maintenance work packs
  • Creating and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or SAP
  • Coordinating labour, materials, tooling, and equipment requirements
  • Working closely with maintenance, operations, and project teams
  • Monitoring schedule performance and identifying critical path activities
  • Producing progress reports, forecasts, and resource plans
  • Supporting budgeting, estimating, and maintenance planning activities
  • Driving continuous improvement in planning and scheduling processes

What We're Looking For

To be successful, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in maintenance planning and scheduling within mining, heavy industry, resources, energy, or manufacturing environments
  • Experience supporting shutdowns, turnarounds, or fixed plant maintenance projects
  • Strong understanding of maintenance work management systems
  • Experience using Primavera P6, SAP, MS Project, or similar planning software
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence

Highly Regarded

  • Trade qualification, engineering background, or relevant tertiary qualification
  • SAP PM experience
  • Fixed plant maintenance experience
  • Rio Tinto, BMA, Anglo American, Glencore, or other major site experience
  • Working knowledge of risk management and maintenance strategies
  • Queensland mining or heavy industrial site experience
