Your new role
- Maintaining parks, gardens, and public open spaces
- Weeding, planting, mulching, watering, and spraying trees and plants
- Driving council vehicles between sites and work locations
- Performing verge and streetscape maintenance to keep community areas looking their best
- Operating a range of equipment including whipper snippers, blowers, ride-on mowers, hedge trimmers, and chainsaws
- Undertaking physical outdoor work in a team-focused environment
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in Parks & Gardens, Landscaping, Grounds Maintenance, or Horticulture
- White Card (essential)
- MR or HR Driver's Licence (highly desirable)
- Certificate in horticulture or equivalent (highly desirable)
- Chain saw ticket (highly desirable)
- Ability to safely operate gardening and landscaping equipment
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
