Palliative Care Cabrini
The Consultant in Palliative Medicine/ Palliative Medicine Physician leads and manages the delivery of evidenced based Palliative medicine to patients and families across Cabrini. The Palliative Care service operates in an integrated model across 4 service arms: consult; inpatient, ambulatory and community. The doctor will oversee the clinical service delivery to patients and families as directed by the Director of Palliative Medicine.

Due to the urgency of filling this role, applications will be reviewed immediately upon submission.

How you will make an impact
Cabrini Supportive and Palliative care is an RACP accredited training site for Palliative medicine inpatient, consult and cancer term. The medical team include three palliative medicine physicians/ specialists, a geriatrician with palliative medicine interest and two advanced trainees. The team works closely with the unit multidisciplinary members and referring physicians/specialists in catering for symptom management, coordination of care, complex discharge planning and end of life care management.

What we're looking for: TourSenior Living

  • MBBS or equivalent and postgraduate qualifications in Palliative Medicine or related specialty
  • Unconditional registration as a medical practitioner with AHPRA
  • Strong background in Palliative Medicine
  • Experience in multidisciplinary care delivery
  • Experience in problem solving within a team setting
  • Ability to work an on call rotating roster, including weekends
