As an Operational Team Leader, you will lead a high-performing payroll team delivering vital services in a fast-paced team environment including resource allocation, managing workloads while driving improvement and customer outcomes and ensuring these are provided in a timely and accurate method across government.
What you will do:
- Lead and coordinate a high-performing payroll services team to achieve performance standards and customer outcomes.
- Deliver responsive, customer-focused services that meet established performance standards.
- Provide expert advice and support on complex payroll matters.
- Analyse performance data to improve productivity, quality and service delivery.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across government and partner organisations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and change initiatives while supporting staff development and wellbeing.
Remuneration
ASO6 ($105,747 - $111,854 p.a.) + 12% Superannuation

- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, engage and organise staff to achieve team outcomes.
- Experience managing workloads, priorities in a fast-paced service delivery environment.
- Passion for developing people, improving performance and fostering a positive team.
- The ability to lead change, drive continuous improvement and maintain excellent customer service outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to manage expectations while delivering agreed outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide accurate advice on complex matters.
