This opportunity is based across two established residential aged care homes, where Occupational Therapy plays an important role in promoting comfort, function, safety and independence. With a structured part-time schedule across both sites, this role offers variety, continuity and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with residents and care teams while maintaining genuine work-life balance.
  
The exciting opportunity:

  • Permanent part-time Occupational Therapist role across two residential aged care homes.
  • Work approximately 22.8 hours per fortnight at one site and 30 hours per fortnight at the other
  • Complete functional, environmental and equipment assessments
  • Prescribe mobility aids, adaptive equipment, seating and wheelchairs.
  • Contribute to individualised care planning with residents and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support clinical needs including pain management, pressure care, cognition and functional decline.
  • Recommend practical environmental changes that promote safety, comfort and independence.
  • Work closely with nursing teams, site leadership, families and allied health professionals.
  • Maintain clear and accurate clinical documentation.
  • Provide practical recommendations that care teams can confidently implement.
  • Deliver consistent, person-centred occupational therapy across both services.

About you:

  • You are an AHPRA-registered Occupational Therapist with sound clinical reasoning skills and a genuine interest in supporting older people.
  • Experience may come from residential aged care, community, disability, or a related setting, provided you can apply your practice in a thoughtful and person-centred way.
  • You are confident completing assessments, documenting clearly, and collaborating with residents, families, and colleagues across the site.
  • A practical mindset, professional communication style, and the ability to work well within an established service environment will be important in this role.
