Prospero Teaching is partnering with a well-established Medical Centre in Queensland seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join their team. This practice is dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse community and offers a broad range of general medical services.
The Role
As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care alongside a team of experienced healthcare professionals. Your responsibilities will include assessing, diagnosing, and managing patient health, focusing on preventive care, chronic disease management, and minor injuries.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and manage a range of health conditions.
- Diagnose and treat chronic and acute conditions, including minor injuries.
- Prescribe medications within scope of practice.
- Provide health education and advice to patients and families.
- Support coordinated care for complex cases.
- Perform health screenings, vaccinations, and preventative checks.
Essential Criteria
- Current AHPRA registration as a Nurse and advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification.
- Strong clinical experience in general practice or primary healthcare.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in managing chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, cardiovascular disease).
- Expertise in women’s health, mental health, or paediatrics.
- Experience with minor procedures (e.g., suturing, wound care).
