Join a leading national hire company supporting civil, mining, construction and infrastructure projects across Australia. We’re looking for an experienced Plant Mechanic or motivated Trainee Plant Mechanic to maintain and repair a modern fleet of earthmoving equipment and mobile plant machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Scheduled servicing, fault-finding & repairs on earthmoving equipment & mobile plant
- Diagnosing faults across mechanical, hydraulic & electrical systems
- Attending breakdowns in the workshop and onsite, in metro & regional locations
- Assisting with major component change-outs and rebuilds
- Coordinating parts, job planning & service scheduling
- Inspecting equipment before and after hire for safety & performance
- Supporting the workshop team with general servicing and maintenance tasks
What You’ll Need
- Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology, Engineering (Mechanical Trade) or equivalent (Plant, Diesel, Heavy Vehicle or Light Vehicle Mechanic)
- Experience working on Plant, Agricultural, Forestry, Ewp’s, Forklifts or Cranes
- Strong diagnostic skills across hydraulics, diesel engines and electrical systems
- Ability to travel for field servicing and call-outs when required
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical assessment
