The Role

Due to our rapidly growing fertiliser business, we are looking for a Manager – Fertiliser Operations. You’ll lead the operations of CBH’s fertiliser network, supporting the safe and reliable delivery of products to growers across Western Australia.

You will be responsible for the management, coordination, and execution for fertiliser within the CBH storage supply chain.

Reporting to the Head of Fertiliser, you will ensure the implementation of operational strategies, compliance within the CBH Integrated Management System, continuous improvement whilst providing leadership, mentoring, staff development and providing a safe work environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage safety, operational risk, budgets, contractor engagement, compliance and continuous improvement to strengthen reliable service delivery.
  • Lead safe fertiliser receival, storage, handling, blending, outturn and transport coordination across CBH’s operating network.
  • Translate fertiliser strategy into practical operating plans, including seasonal readiness, service delivery, asset utilisation and network requirements.
  • Lead, coach and develop a geographically dispersed operations team, building capability, trust and consistent ways of working.
  • Partner with Fertiliser Trading, Sales and Marketing, logistics, site teams, contractors and service providers to support network planning and practical grower outcomes.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualification in business, commerce, agriculture, supply chain, logistics or operations management, or equivalent senior operational management experience.
  • Significant operational leadership experience in a similar complex operating environment, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Commercially astute, with experience managing operational budgets, cost drivers, resources, service performance and continuous improvement outcomes.
  • Proven ability to lead dispersed teams, set clear expectations, build capability and support safe, consistent performance across multiple locations.
  • Strong understanding of safety leadership, operational risk, quality, compliance and contractor management in a practical, high-accountability environment.
