This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused finance professional to join a collaborative finance team and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, strategic analysis and business partnering across a diverse operational environment.
Your new role
Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will play a key role in supporting financial planning, performance reporting, and decision-making processes. Working closely with a broad range of stakeholders, you will provide valuable financial insights that help shape business outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining budgets and forecasts
- Delivering management reporting and financial analysis
- Building financial models and conducting scenario analysis
- Performing cost-benefit assessments and business case evaluations
- Monitoring financial performance and identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
- Supporting annual budgeting and planning cycles
- Assisting with financial consolidations and reporting requirements
- Managing funding acquittals and stakeholder reporting obligations
- Contributing to process improvement initiatives and finance system enhancements
- Building strong relationships with operational and executive stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position, you will bring:
- CA or CPA qualification (or near completion)
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline
- Proven management accounting experience within a large or complex organisation
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling capability
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with reporting and analytical tools such as Power BI
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial information into meaningful business insights
- Strong stakeholder engagement and business partnering experience
- Highly developed analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to work autonomously
