My client is one of Australia's leading herb growers and food manufacturers, supplying fresh herbs and value-added products to major supermarkets and food service customers nationwide. Based in Mildura, they continue to invest in their people, equipment, and manufacturing capability.
Due to continued growth, my client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their team and help drive equipment reliability across the site.
Your new role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance across production and packaging equipment
- Mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting
- Repairing and replacing components including pumps, conveyors, bearings and gearboxes
- Supporting continuous improvement and equipment upgrade projects
- Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime
- Completing maintenance records and work orders
- Supporting planned shutdown and maintenance activities
- Maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality
What you'll need to succeed
- Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent
- Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging or processing environments
- Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience with preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
- Welding and fabrication experience is advantageous
