Loading Dock (Night Shift)

Opportunity
We are currently seeking reliable and hardworking Labourers to join our Load Out Department. This role is responsible for preparing, handling, and loading cartons, pallets and containers in a fast-paced cold storage environment.
Working within a team, you will help ensure domestic and export orders are accurately prepared and loaded to meet strict quality, safety, and export standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for both new to industry and experienced cold store/warehouse workers, with a range of training opportunities available! As a leading exporter in the red meat industry, you’ll gain experience in state-of-the-art facilities supplying to markets all around the globe. Duties may include:
- Stacking, wrapping, securing and loading cartons (25kg+) onto pallets and into containers/trucks;
- Scanning cartons and pallets for accuracy, traceability and shipment verification;
- Temperature checking goods in strict alignment with food safety protocols;
- Completing transport/export documentation accurately; and
- Operating forklifts and pallet jacks safely in a fast-paced environment.
Position Roster:
Monday: 12:01am – 8:16am
Tuesday: 8:00pm – 4:16am
Wednesday: 8:00pm – 4:16am
Thursday: 8:00pm – 4:16am
Please note: 1hr mandatory overtime may be required each day, plus 5 mandatory Saturday’s each year.
What experience are we looking for?
While no experience is required, the following abilities are required to be successful in a Load Out position:
- Must be able to work night shifts from Sunday – Thursday;
- Physically fit and capable of repetitive manual handling (25kg+);
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol test;
- Comfortable working in cold storage/freezer environments;
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team;
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail; and
- Ability to follow safety, hygiene and working procedures.
Forklift ticket with relevant Australian experience highly desirable.
