About the Role
JBS Carriers is seeking experienced Livestock Drivers to play a vital role in moving cattle safely and efficiently across our supply chain; from feedlots and paddocks to saleyards and processing facilities. These full-time opportunities are available in:
- Tamworth (NSW)
- Griffith/Riverina region (NSW)
- Toowoomba (QLD)
(Applications from surrounding areas are also encouraged.)
Competitive pay rates:
- Full-time: up to $0.6077 CPK + allowances
- Casual: up to $0.6988 CPK + allowances
What You’ll Be Doing
- Transporting livestock safely in line with animal welfare standards and industry regulations
- Operating prime movers and equipment efficiently and responsibly
- Conducting daily pre-start checks to ensure vehicles are road-ready
- Maintaining compliance with NHVR, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and transport regulations
- Working under Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) requirements
- Upholding workplace health, safety and environmental standards
- Supporting safe and effective livestock loading and unloading
What You’ll Bring
- A current MC Driver’s Licence
- Ideally 2+ years’ experience in MC driving
- Livestock transport or handling experience (highly regarded)
- A solid and reliable traffic history
- Strong livestock handling knowledge and care standards
- BFM certification (or willingness to obtain)
- A strong work ethic and team-focused attitude
- Physical capability to manage loading tasks and access equipment
- Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including weekends
- Familiarity with the regions is an advantage
