We’re looking for an experienced Linux & OpenShift Engineer to join a major Australian technology environment and help shape the next generation of highly automated, secure and scalable infrastructure.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of Linux, Kubernetes/OpenShift, cloud and automation, with a strong focus on treating infrastructure as a product.

Working across a highly distributed Edge environment, you will be owning the lifecycle, scalability and reliability of Linux plaforms, responsible for:

  • Designing and supporting RHEL, OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms.
  • Building infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible and GitOps/ArgoCD.
  • Developing and managing CI/CD pipelines, OS image builds and automated patching.
  • Modernising legacy infrastructure and moving towards container-native Edge platforms.
  • Embedding security, compliance and vulnerability remediation into automated processes.
  • Using monitoring and telemetry to improve reliability and reduce operational toil.
  • Working closely with Engineering, Security and Operations teams to deliver a reliable developer platform.

To be succesful in this role, we’re looking for someone with:

  • Strong hands-on Linux / Red Hat Enterprise Linux and OpenShift experience.
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible and GitOps.
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python or Go.
  • Experience across Edge, hybrid cloud or distributed environments.
  • An understanding of DevOps/DevSecOps and automation.

In addition to this, excellent stakeholder management skills are essential, and Red Hat or Kubernetes certifications are highly regarded.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Linux Engineer who wants to move beyond traditional infrastructure and work on modern Edge, container and automation platforms at significant scale.
