Leisure Attendant
- Greet and assist gym users, providing exceptional customer service.
- Conduct fitness centre inductions and maintain accurate user records.

We’re currently seeking energetic and customer-focused Gym Attendants to join our Sport and Recreation team at HMAS Kuttabul. In this front-line role, you’ll be the welcoming face of the gym ensuring a safe, professional, and engaging environment for Defence personnel. You’ll manage daily reception duties, conduct fitness inductions, and help maintain the facility to the highest standards.
What we are looking for:
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist gym users, providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Conduct fitness centre inductions and maintain accurate user records.
- Oversee daily operations, including equipment checks and general maintenance reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and hygiene procedures.
- Support the coordination of fitness activities, programs, and events.
- Contribute to a clean, safe, and welcoming facility environment.
- Report hazards, near misses, or maintenance issues promptly and constructively.
What we’re looking for
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Cert III or IV in Fitness (Highly desirable)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliable, professional, and proactive approach to customer service.
- Experience in gym or recreation facility operations highly regarded.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and team collaboration.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check and Defence clearance.
- Australian Citizenship is a mandatory requirement.
