Lead Estimator position working on large HV Substations, BESS, and Grid connections projects
Your new company
My client is an established EPC contractor who is expanding its presence across the Australian energy market and is looking to appoint an experienced Estimator. With a strong pipeline of high-voltage infrastructure projects, this is an opportunity to join a growing business delivering critical substation, transmission, renewables and electrical infrastructure projects across Australia.
Your new role
As the Lead Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for HV electrical infrastructure projects such as 500kv terminal stations, renewable energy grid connections and more. Working closely with engineering, procurement, project delivery and commercial teams, you will take ownership of estimates from initial review through to tender submission.
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have:
- Previous estimating experience within HV electrical, substation, transmission or utility infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of HV electrical construction and project delivery
- Experience interpreting electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- Knowledge of equipment such as transformers, switchgear, protection systems, control systems and associated balance-of-plant
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Experience working with suppliers and subcontractors to develop competitive pricing
- Electrical Engineering, Electrical Trade or relevant technical qualifications would be highly regarded
