Our client is based in Warriewood and as part of it is operations, produces custom spice and ingredients blends for food manufacturers and retailers across Australia. We are looking for a reliable person take ownership of the blending operation, ensuring that our blends are produced to a consistently high standard.
 
The role will demand someone that has very good attention to detail, is able to follow a process to consistently blend products to predetermined recipes and able to follow food hygiene and documentation requirements.
 
Responsibilities & Duties 

  • Day to day production of custom spice and ingredient blends
  • Production Scheduling with regard to customer orders, stock levels, sequential batches, allergens and scheduled cleaning.
  • Manage physical raw material stock including stock control, inventory and rotation
  • Accurately weighing out and batching blend assemblies
  • Packing, sealing, labelling and boxing products
  • Perform accurate data entry for raw material used and finished goods produced.
  • Liaise with Warehouse Manager on suitable location for finished goods produced.
  • Liaise with Operations Manager on production scheduling
  • Use of blending room equipment including cleaning

Mandatory Attributes 

  • Physically fit - stacking of full cartons and handling of bulk materials is required at times
  • Fluent with PC Software applications
  • A neat, tidy and accurate and approach to work is an essential requirement for this role
  • Experience in a food production environment
  • Food Safety or Allergen Management certificates or qualifications would be well regarded

Hours of Work
 
This is a full time role. Ideally start time will be 7.30AM and working a basic 38 hour week. Overtime is usually available. Part time or job share would be considered for the right candidate if required.
