Individual Support Traineeship - Healthscope Operations

Here at Apprenticeship Careers Australia (ACA) we currently have an exciting opportunity for applicants looking to start their career through a Certificate III Individual Support, located in Glen Waverley & our host employer, Healthscope Operations. 

Our Traineeship Program offers a unique blend of on-the-job training, mentorship, and classroom learning. As a trainee, you will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining practical experience and developing valuable industry skills. This program is perfect for recent graduates, career changers, and anyone eager to learn and grow in a supportive environment.

Duties:

• Provide personal care support, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility.

• Assist clients with meal preparation, hydration, household tasks, laundry and general domestic duties.

• Support clients with grocery shopping, appointments and community access, including providing transport where required.

• Build positive relationships by offering companionship, emotional support and encouraging social participation.

• Promote client independence, dignity and wellbeing by following individual care plans and delivering person-centred support.

Skills and responsibilities:

• Part-time traineeship (minimum 15 hours per week, up to full-time)

• Genuine passion for helping others

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Compassionate, patient and dependable nature

• Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively

• Current driver's licence, reliable vehicle and insurance

• Ability to obtain relevant checks including Working With Children Check, First Aid & CPR and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
