The Organisation
This is a great opportunity to join a highly regarded Government department. This is a sizeable unit divided into teams by specialist area. They boast a large team of experienced lawyers that represent Queensland Government across a broad range of matters.
Sitting in the Insurance and Risk team, you will be part of a substantial practice, supporting senior Practitioners where required. This department is relied upon by the State of Queensland to defend claims at trial before the Supreme and District Court before the Court of Appeal and High Court.
About You
You will have demonstrable Personal Injury experience on either the plaintiff or defendant side and an interest in working on sensitive insurance matters. You will enjoy working across a range of personal injury litigation, as well as risk management. You will be confident in representing the State before the Courts.
You will have a minimum of 4 years PQE and up to 8 years PQE.
