Are you looking to build your career in Human Resources and gain hands-on experience across a broad range of HR activities?

We’re looking for a motivated and organised Human Resources Advisor to join our team in Kings Park. This is a great opportunity for someone at the beginning of their HR career who is keen to learn, develop their skills and gain exposure across the full employee lifecycle.

Working alongside managers and employees, you’ll provide day-to-day HR support while developing your knowledge across employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance, HR administration and workplace compliance.

What you'll be doing

  1. Provide day-to-day HR support to managers and employees
  2. Assist with employee relations and performance management matters
  3. Coordinate recruitment activities, including advertising, candidate screening, interviews and offers
  4. Manage onboarding and offboarding processes
  5. Prepare employment contracts, letters and other HR documentation
  6. Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems
  7. Assist with the development and review of HR policies, procedures and processes
  8. Build your knowledge of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards (NES), Modern Awards and other relevant workplace legislation
  9. Support employee engagement, wellbeing and culture initiatives
  10. Assist with HR reporting and workforce information
  11. Support organisational and people-related projects
  12. Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and the employee experience

About you

You’re enthusiastic about developing a career in HR and enjoy working with people. You’re organised, approachable and comfortable handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

You’ll ideally have:

  1. A qualification in Human Resources, Business, Employment Relations or a related discipline, or be working towards one
  2. Some exposure to HR through work experience, an internship, administration or a similar role would be advantageous, but is not essential
  3. An interest in Australian employment relations and contemporary HR practices
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  5. Good organisation and attention to detail
  6. Confidence using Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new HR systems
  7. A willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
  8. A practical, positive and collaborative approach
