About the Role
Based in Perth CBD, this full-time permanent role is responsible for managing occupational health, workforce wellbeing, and injury management programs for an oil and gas company.
The HSE Lead provides specialist advice on health risks, fitness for work, and emergency medical response, while driving positive health outcomes, minimising injury impacts, and maintaining compliance with relevant standards and requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead occupational health, medical, and injury management programs.
- Provide guidance and oversight to health and safety personnel.
- Manage external medical and occupational health service providers.
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for occupational health and medical risk management.
- Coordinate fitness-for-work assessments, health surveillance, and screening programs.
- Lead injury management and return-to-work processes.
- Analyse health and injury trends and implement preventive measures.
- Support early intervention for workplace injuries, illnesses, and mental health concerns.
- Maintain medical emergency response, evacuation, and preparedness programs.
- Develop and maintain health, medical, and emergency response procedures to ensure compliance and best practice.
Skills/Requirements
- Holds current AHPRA registration.
- Relevant experience in occupational health, medical management, injury management, and workforce wellbeing, preferably within high-risk operational environments.
- Significant experience working in the oil and gas industry (4-6 years) will highly be regarded.
