Seeking an Experienced Maintenance manager to work for a large State Government department in Fremantle

Your new role

Lead the strategic direction of housing maintenance and asset management programmes, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities, government requirements and long-term service delivery objectives. Develop and implement frameworks, processes and procedures to support consistent, compliant and effective maintenance planning, asset management and service provider performance. Prepare, review and improve annual cyclical maintenance programmes, using asset data, risk assessment and stakeholder input to inform strategic priorities and investment decisions. Oversee contractor and service provider compliance in partnership with stakeholders, ensuring accessibility, safety, regulatory and contractual standards are met, and performance issues are proactively addressed. Partner with asset portfolio owners, Commissioning, Contracting and Legal teams to realign property leases and licences with service delivery requirements across each site. Identify opportunities to strengthen governance, reporting, workflow efficiency and compliance controls across facilities and housing maintenance operations. Provide strategic advice and support to the Facilities Management team, including the preparation of Ministerials, briefing notes and internal/external communications.

What you'll need to succeed
Strong knowledge of facilities management and asset life cycle principles.Proficiency in facilities and asset management systemsExcellent organisational and data management skills.The ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications is desirable.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing briefing notes, Ministerials, reports and other professional documentation.What you'll get in return
