Homeware Assistant Manager - Rockhampton

The brand is an iconic Australian furniture and homewares brand with over 40 years of heritage, known for timeless, high-quality pieces that help customers create stylish homes. The business is built on sustainability and intentional design, and it's looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join its Rockhampton store on a permanent basis. In this role, you'll lead the customer experience, develop your team, and drive sales through product knowledge and genuine relationship-building, while supporting the day-to-day operations that keep the store running smoothly.

• Deliver exceptional customer experiences through feature and benefit selling, with tailored advice on furniture, fabrics, and homewares
• Coach and develop your team to build product knowledge and confidence in showcasing new collections
• Support store operations including rostering, ordering, and administrative tasks to ensure efficient performance

Preferred Requirements

• Previous retail management experience, ideally in a customer-facing environment
• Strong management skills with the ability to coach and motivate a team
• Excellent customer service mindset and confidence in building long-term relationships
• Visual merchandising experience and an eye for creating appealing store displays
• Strong organisational skills and comfort with moving furniture and large cartons

Preferred Qualifications

• Retail management qualification or equivalent experience in a supervisory role
• A genuine interest in furniture, interior design, or the homewares sector
• Demonstrated track record of driving sales and team performance in a retail setting
