Your new role
An opportunity exists for a qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join a busy workshop team based in Melbourne's south-east.In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing servicing, maintenance and repairs on a fleet of heavy vehicles and equipment
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
  • Completing preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
  • Conducting inspections and ensuring vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
  • Maintaining accurate service records and workshop documentation
  • Working closely with operations teams to keep the fleet running efficiently

What you'll need to succeed

  • Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or equivalent
  • Experience maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles, trucks or mobile plant equipment
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A current driving licence with an HR licence is highly regarded
