 About the Role

The role of Greyhound Australia Depot Supervisor - Alice Springs manages day to day operations including;  

  • Culture - Ensure a team culture is developed through positive and supportive leadership
  • Daily Yard & Fleet Checks – Ensure vehicles, trailers, and equipment are safe, compliant, and ready for use
  • Incident Reporting Support – Assist Greyhound Coach Captains with incident reporting, documentation, and first response steps
  • Freight Coordination – Oversee incoming/outgoing freight movements and ensure correct loading/unloading supporting freight staff
  • Customer/Client Interaction – Liaise with   customers and clients on site and assist their enquiries
  • Contractor Coordination – Manage onsite contractors such as maintenance, repairs, and facility services
  • Stock & Consumables Management – Monitor and order items such as PPE, cleaning supplies, and fuel cards
  • General Site Presentation – Ensure depot cleanliness, signage, and safety equipment are maintained
  • Support for New Starters – Assist with driver inductions, basic onboarding checks, and local familiarisation
  • Assist With Rosters / Coverage – Provide Trent with insights on driver availability, local issues, or shortfalls
  • Local Issue Resolution – Help manage day-to-day practical problems (access, keys, equipment faults, etc.)

 Competencies and Experience

  • Knowledge of the Coach, Freight and Transport Industry ( desirable )
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to guide, influence, and inspire others toward achieving a common goal ( Essential )
  • Experience in administrative, logistics or transport roles.
  • Completion of competency “Administer the implementation of fatigue management strategies” or the ability to do so.
  • The ability to see the big picture yet still understand the day to day needs and requirements of the business and allocate resources as required.
  • The ability to communicate, a preparedness to take initiative, a strong results orientation whilst demonstrating a professional work ethic.
  • A strong customer orientation and a preparedness to work with and through others to achieve results.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office and company systems).
  • Knowledge of, and/or experience with, human resources, industrial relations and occupational health and safety practices, policies and procedures.
  • The ability to prioritise, multi-task and follow through on required actions,
