Your new companyThis South Australian Government department delivers programmes and services that support a key community across the state. An opportunity is now available for an experienced Grants and Administration Officer to join the team and provide high-quality administrative and grants support across a range of business functions.
Your new roleWorking within a collaborative team environment, you will provide professional administration support with a strong focus on grants administration and coordination. You will manage grant application processes, maintain accurate records and documentation, coordinate correspondence, assist with financial administration activities and support the efficient delivery of grant programmes.
A key component of this position will be the administration and management of applications through SmartyGrants. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring applications are processed accurately, timeframes are met and information is maintained to a high standard.
The role will also provide broader operational support across administration, records management and business services functions.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience using SmartyGrants within a grants administration environment
- Previous experience in a high-volume administration or business support role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience maintaining accurate records and managing confidential information
- Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills
- Previous South Australian Government experience will be highly regarded
- Experience using Objective, Basware, EMS or ANZ Corporate Card systems will be advantageous
- Immediate availability to commence
- The successful candidate must be willing for Hays to run a National Police Clearance prior to commencing in the role
