KOTH Site Overview:

King of the Hills (KOTH) is the flagship operation of Vault Minerals Limited and one of the largest gold mines in Australia. Undergoing significant expansion, KOTH is nearing completion of a 7.5 million tonne per annum (Mtpa) processing plant (previously 5.2Mtpa), providing a solid platform for long-term production growth. This dynamic operation combines open-pit and underground mining, with exciting exploration activities driving the future. KOTH is located approximately 900 km northeast of Perth and 25 km north of Leonora, within the Goldfields Region of Western Australia.

The purpose of the position is to assist the KOTH UG Technical Services team to deliver detailed drill and blast designs, mine designs, schedules and assist in ongoing projects. Gain practical experience to qualify for the First-Class WA Mine Manager’s certificate of competency. Work safely and in compliance with all Company standards, guidelines and procedures.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Basic knowledge of Engineering principles.
  • Be able to understand and carry out instructions from more experienced/Senior Engineers.
  • Show capability to learn new skills.
  • Be able to work in physically & mentally potentially demanding environments, including Underground.
  • Be able to liaise & communicate effectively and courteously with other Technical Services Departments & Contractors.
  • Ensure all allocated tasks are completed safely and on schedule.

About You:

  • Formal tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
  • Basic skills in the use of mine design and mine scheduling software. Strong report writing and presentation skills.
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills.
  • WA Driver’s License (manual C Class).
  • Valid DGSC accreditation.
