Our Industry partner, QL Safety Glass Pty Ltd is an Australian glass and glazing business based in Wetherill Park, NSW. The business specialises in the supply, processing and installation of safety glass and related glazing solutions for residential and commercial applications. Its services involve customised glass products, precision processing and glazing works to meet clients’ project requirements, with a focus on quality, safety and professional workmanship.

To support its ongoing operations and growing workload, the business is currently seeking to employ a Glazier to undertake glass cutting, installation, fitting and related glazing works.

Location: 2/19 Toohey Rd, Wetherill Park NSW, Australia

Salary Package: $78,000 - $83,000 AUD

Key Responsibilities:

1. Measure, mark, cut, shape, and prepare glass according to specifications and project requirements.
2. Install and replace glass in windows, doors, shopfronts, partitions, frames, and other structures.
3. Fit and secure glass using appropriate frames, seals, beads, adhesives, and glazing hardware.
4. Read and interpret plans, drawings, measurements, and job specifications.
5. Inspect glass and glazing materials for defects, damage, and compliance with required standards.
6. Remove existing or damaged glass safely and prepare surfaces for new installations.
7. Operate and maintain glazing tools, machinery, and equipment safely and effectively.
8. Ensure all installations are properly aligned, sealed, secured, and finished to a high standard.
9. Work safely when handling, transporting, cutting, and installing glass and comply with workplace health and safety requirements.
10. Coordinate with clients, builders, contractors, and other trades to ensure glazing works are completed efficiently and according to project requirements.
11. Maintain a clean and organised work area and safely dispose of glass offcuts and waste materials.
12. Undertake repairs, maintenance, and adjustments to existing glazing installations as required.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience working as a Glazier, preferably in residential and commercial glazing.
2. Strong knowledge of glass types, glazing systems, frames, fittings, sealants, and installation methods.
3. Ability to accurately measure, cut, handle, and install glass products.
4. Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and job specifications.
5. Good knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements, particularly when handling and installing glass.
6. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
7. Ability to safely use glazing tools, equipment, and machinery.
8. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
9. Good communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with clients, builders, contractors, and other trades.
10. Physically fit and capable of safely handling and moving glass materials.
