About the Role

We are seeking a General Practitioner (GP) or suitably qualified medical practitioner to provide on-site clinical support during imaging procedures at our Bunbury clinic, particularly during the administration of contrast media.

This is a safety-focused role requiring the ability to recognise and manage contrast reactions and respond to medical emergencies that may arise in a radiology setting. The role offers structured, predictable hours and is well suited to practitioners seeking flexible clinical work outside of traditional general practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site medical support during imaging procedures, including contrast-enhanced studies
  • Recognise and manage contrast media reactions
  • Respond to general medical emergencies within the clinic environment
  • Administer emergency medications (e.g. adrenaline, antihistamines, IV fluids)
  • Perform resuscitation and life support, including airway management
  • Manage allergic and anaphylactic reactions
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists, radiographers, and clinic staff

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner
  • Demonstrated competence in emergency and acute care management
  • Confidence administering emergency medications and performing resuscitation
  • Strong clinical judgement and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Availability to work Wednesday to Friday afternoons (2:30pm – 5:30pm)
  • Flexibility to pick up additional casual shifts when required

Why Join Apex Radiology?

  • Predictable, structured part-time hours
  • Supportive and collaborative clinical team
  • Opportunity to work in a specialised clinical environment
  • Flexible role suitable for GPs seeking supplementary or alternative clinical work
