The Opportunity
Due to unprecedented growth in our industry and within our company, we are seeking a full-time Civil Engineering Draftsperson with experience in residential and commercial projects to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have:
·At least 12 months experience, post qualification, as a Civil engineering draft person.
·At least a bachelor's degree in a related field.
·Experience in using Revit and AutoCAD to produce architectural and civil documents.
·High degree of accuracy and attention to detail with excellent planning and organization skills
·Experience working in a diverse range of projects big and small for all types of clients
·efficient time management skills and flexibility to allow for the management of a varying workload.
·Fantastic interpersonal skills
Your expected daily duties include:
·Preparing single line diagram, formulated tables in excel, sketch, charts, plans and designs for civil engineering works such as crossover, driveway, stormwater systems, roads, etc.
·Preparing preliminary designs in 2D using either hand sketches, PDF editors or AutoCAD. Prepare concise engineering drawings from sketches and design information unassisted. Comply with CAD Standards and Quality Systems relevant to specialization and location and apply techniques and procedures commonly used in that practice area and specialization.
·Undertake reviews of engineering drawings to ensure compliance with CAD standards and Quality Systems.
·Manage and monitor the quality of work performed by others and promote a culture of technical excellence through mentoring and training less experienced drafters.
·Fulfil Project Drafter role - manage the drafting aspects of projects of varying complexity and size, including planning and controlling of deliverables, resource management and maintaining. Communication between engineering and drafting staff on the project.
·Placing feature surveys onto drawings and understanding site levels to ensure civil compliance. Completing Sustainability Design Assessments such as STORM Reports.
·Assisting the office with printing and follow up phone calls to Councils, Consultants and Clients. Completing council and building permit checklists
