Our Engineering team plays a critical role in keeping our fleet safe, reliable and ready to fly. Working across our Boeing 737 NG and 737 MAX fleet in a highly regulated environment, we combine technical expertise with innovation and continuous improvement to deliver safe, efficient and dependable operations for our guests.

What you’ll be doing…

Based at either our Brisbane or Melbourne Hangars, you will be working within the Avionics and IFE team. As an Avionics Engineer you will maintain continuing airworthiness through effective configuration control of the aircraft’s software, avionics and electrical systems for the operated fleet types, as well as assist in initiating preventative or predictive maintenance strategies to improve aircraft technical dispatch reliability.

You're passionate about aviation and enjoy working in a collaborative environment where safety, precision and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything you do. You bring strong analytical capability, enjoy solving complex engineering problems and take pride in delivering practical solutions that improve fleet reliability and operational performance.

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

  • A Certificate IV or higher qualification in Aircraft Maintenance within the Avionics discipline, or hold or have previously held an Aircraft Engineer Licence (Category B2 or equivalent) within the Avionics discipline, or an Engineering degree in Aeronautical, Avionics, Electrical or Electronics
  • At least five years' relevant aviation engineering experience, including a minimum of two years in an airline technical services, support or aircraft maintenance environment working on comparable aircraft types
  • Advanced computer and data analysis skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of:
  • Aircraft maintenance regulations, standards, maintenance programs and reliability programs
  • Instructions for Continuing Airworthiness (ICA), including scheduled maintenance requirements and the specifications and standards used by the type certificate holder to develop those requirements
  • Aircraft certification requirements and certification basis
  • Aircraft structure, systems and propulsion for the aircraft and engine types operated by the airline

The following would be highly regarded:

  • Experience with TRAX/eMRO Engineering Maintenance System
  • Aircraft software configuration management, including Boeing 737 MAX software management
