Fitter (General)

Our Client, Norm Engineering Pty Ltd is looking for a qualified Fitters to join their team.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Perform allocated work within the workshop and in the field;
2. The installation and commissioning of hydraulic mobile equipment and systems
3. Welding and fabrication of repairs and fitment of accessories on earthmoving attachments
4. Onsite Troubleshooting.
5. Assemble hydraulic systems and components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
6. Install and replace hydraulic cylinders, hoses, valves, manifolds, pumps, motors, and fittings.
7. Fit and connect hydraulic and pneumatic systems to attachments and equipment.
8. Conduct pre-delivery inspections and commissioning activities.
9. Work to high quality & EHS standards
10. Maintain & audit stock levels,
11. Assist in maintaining a repair and maintenance registers,
12. Warranty assessments,
13. Pressure test hydraulic systems and components.
14. Perform functional testing and ensure equipment meets operational requirements.
15. Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
16. Record test results and complete required documentation.
17. Maintain equipment, tools and work area,
18. Establish, develop and maintain positive customer relationships

Qualification

1. Relevant experience as Fitter or qualifications for a similar role
2. Australian Citizens & Permanent Residents only
3. Ability to read and interpret product & operations manuals, hydraulic schematics and low voltage electrical circuits
4. Ability to work independently
5. Analytical & Problem-solving skills
6. A strong background in Field Service experience
