Your new company
Our client, a leading commercial property owner and manager, is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial assets. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing property team and take ownership of the operational performance, compliance, maintenance and contractor management of a well-maintained portfolio
Your new role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day facilities management of four commercial office assets, ensuring the buildings operate safely, efficiently and in accordance with all statutory requirements
Key responsibilities include:
- Management of all base building operations across a portfolio of commercial assets
- Oversee hard and soft service contractors, ensuring service delivery meets agreed KPIs and SLAs
- Coordinate and manage preventative and reactive maintenance programmes
- Manage building compliance, risk management and statutory obligations
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits
- Monitor building systems including HVAC, BMS, electrical, fire and hydraulic services
- Manage contractor procurement, tendering and performance reviews
- Assist with annual operating budgets and monitor facilities expenditure
- Manage minor capital works projects and building upgrades
- Ensure all WHS policies and procedures are adhered to
- Support sustainability initiatives and NABERS performance objectives
- Build strong relationships with tenants, contractors and key stakeholders
- Respond to building incidents and ensure timely resolution of operational issues
- Maintain accurate records, compliance documentation and reporting
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous Facilities Management experience within commercial property
- Strong knowledge of base building services including HVAC, electrical, fire and mechanical systems
- Experience managing multiple assets within a portfolio environment
- Demonstrated contractor and vendor management experience
- Knowledge of Australian building compliance and WHS legislation
- Experience managing maintenance programmes and operational budgets
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workloads across multiple sites
