Monadelphous is seeking an experienced Expeditor professional to join our team on a major power station project in Queensland. You will play a critical role in coordinating and progressing materials, equipment, logistics and supplier deliverables in line with project schedules to support construction activities.

This is a hands-on project role responsible for maintaining visibility and control of supplier deliverables from purchase order placement through design documentation, fabrication, inspection, testing, release, transport and delivery to site.

You will work closely with procurement, engineering, quality, project controls, logistics, construction, commissioning, suppliers, freight forwarders and the Unit Supplier to identify constraints early and protect critical project milestones.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a significant energy infrastructure project while working with one of Australia's leading engineering construction and maintenance companies.

Why join us?

  • Contribute to the delivery of a major Queensland energy infrastructure project.
  • Gain exposure to complex international and Australian supply chains.
  • Work across major vendor packages, free-issued equipment and construction materials.
  • Coordinate high-value equipment through fabrication, FAT, transport and site delivery.
  • Attractive remuneration, including applicable project and site benefits.
  • Career development and long-term opportunities across Monadelphous’ national project portfolio.
  • Work within a business where safety, wellbeing and delivery performance are central to how we operate

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Expedite supplier and vendor deliverables to ensure materials and equipment are delivered on time and in accordance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate and expedite the delivery of materials, equipment, and supplier deliverables to ensure they are available in line with project requirements and construction schedules.
  • Monitor and track purchase orders, fabrication status, manufacturing progress, inspections, testing, shipment schedules, and material delivery milestones.
  • Coordinate logistics activities with suppliers, freight providers, subcontractors, procurement, engineering, and site teams to ensure timely transportation and delivery of critical materials.
  • Identify and proactively manage risks, constraints, and potential delays across procurement, supplier, materials, and logistics activities.
  • Maintain accurate expediting, materials, logistics, and delivery reports, forecasts, and status updates, ensuring project stakeholders have clear visibility of progress.
  • Liaise closely with suppliers and project stakeholders to resolve issues, coordinate inspections, factory acceptance testing (FAT), vendor documentation, and delivery requirements.
  • Work closely with project controls and planning teams to align procurement, materials, and logistics activities with construction schedules, escalating critical issues and recommending mitigation strategies where required.

What you’ll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in an Expeditor, Senior Expeditor, Quality Coordinator, Procurement Specialist, Vendor Coordinator, Supply Chain Coordinator or similar project-delivery role.
  • Experience expediting equipment and materials for power generation, energy, mining, oil and gas, resources, infrastructure or heavy industrial projects.
  • Proven ability to manage supplier deliverables from purchase order placement through fabrication, inspection, testing, release and delivery.
  • Experience interpreting purchase orders, supplier schedules, project procurement schedules and required-on-site dates.
  • Experience expediting engineering deliverables and managing vendor-document review cycles.
  • Working knowledge of supplier quality surveillance, ITPs, hold and witness points, FATs, Certificates of Conformity, NCRs and Manufacturer’s Data Records.
  • Experience coordinating domestic or international freight, shipment documentation and site delivery requirements.
  • Strong ability to scrutinise supplier progress, identify emerging delays and develop practical recovery plans.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to challenge suppliers and escalate critical issues.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail across multiple concurrent packages.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, reporting tools and ERP or procurement systems.
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary project environment.
