ETL Developer

Emanate Technology is working with a federal government department seeking an experienced ETL Developer to support a complex Enterprise Data Warehouse environment.
This role will see you working across ETL development, production support, data analysis and solution design, helping deliver and maintain critical data integration capabilities. You'll join a high-performing team responsible for developing, supporting and enhancing enterprise data solutions that underpin key business and operational functions.
About the Role
- Design, develop and maintain ETL processes within a large Enterprise Data Warehouse environment
- Analyse and resolve ETL production incidents, defects and data issues
- Develop and enhance ETL support procedures, documentation and operational processes
- Perform data profiling, system analysis and impact analysis activities
- Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures and data integration solutions
- Assist with physical database design and data modelling activities
- Support the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including analysis, design, development, testing and deployment
- Produce technical specifications, system design documents and deployment plans
- Conduct code reviews and contribute to quality assurance activities
- Provide effort estimates for enhancements and new development initiatives
- Work closely with technical and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery outcomes
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, documentation and capability uplift across the team
About You
- Minimum 5 years' experience as an ETL Developer within large enterprise environments
- Proven experience developing and supporting Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) solutions
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM InfoSphere DataStage
- Advanced SQL development skills, including complex queries, stored procedures and performance optimisation
- Experience supporting and maintaining production ETL environments
- Strong data analysis, data profiling and impact analysis capabilities
- Experience troubleshooting ETL failures and conducting root cause analysis
- Strong understanding of ETL standards, governance, security and best practices
- Experience working across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Exposure to UNIX Shell Scripting, Perl or similar scripting technologies
- Experience developing technical specifications, solution designs and supporting documentation
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

- Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) design and development expertise
- Production support and incident management experience
- Data modelling and database design experience
- ITIL knowledge and experience
- Previous Federal Government experience
- Experience working in highly regulated or complex enterprise environments
