The Opportunity
We’re not looking for someone to just price jobs. We’re looking for an Estimator who understands how projects are built, can challenge assumptions, and contribute to winning work.
Based in Belmont, you’ll play a key role in preparing competitive tenders across major infrastructure and utilities projects, working closely with pre-contracts, operations, and delivery teams.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing accurate, commercially sound cost estimates and tender submissions
- Interpreting drawings, specifications and scopes to build complete pricing models
- Analysing labour, plant, material and subcontractor requirements
- Contributing to tender strategy, risk assessment and pricing decisions
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to validate rates and scope
- Supporting post-tender handover including cost breakdowns and initial planning
- Maintaining cost databases and improving estimating processes
- Managing multiple tenders while meeting strict deadlines
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in estimating (utilities, construction or similar)
- Strong ability to interpret drawings and technical documentation
- Commercial awareness with the ability to assess risk and margin
- Solid Excel skills and experience with estimating software
- Ability to understand and apply EBA conditions to pricing
- Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
- Confident communicator who can engage with internal teams and suppliers
Nice to Have
- Qualifications in Construction, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or similar
- Experience in utilities, infrastructure or resources projects
- First Aid and CPR
