About Them
This one's for an environmental professional who wants more than a compliance checklist job. A long-standing FMCG manufacturer in Bunbury is bringing on an Environmental Advisor to lead site environmental performance, with wastewater treatment as the core of the role. You'll have two Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators reporting to you and a direct line to the HSE Manager, so there's real scope to shape how things get done, not just follow procedure.
About the Role
Day to day, you'll be:
- Managing the wastewater treatment plant and keeping it compliant with licence conditions and DWER requirements
- Running daily operations against internal standards
- Liaising with regulators, council and auditors directly
- Finding and fixing gaps in systems and procedures
- Feeding into budgets, capital works and operating plans
- Making sure waste management holds up to company and regulator expectations
About You:
- A Diploma in Environmental Science or equivalent industry experience (a degree's well regarded but not essential)
- Minimium 1 to 2 years in a similar environmental or compliance role
- Practical wastewater treatment experience
- Confidence with data, reporting and regulatory obligations
- SAP and Environmental Management Systems experience is a plus
