About the client

We are working with a well-established diecasting manufacturing business undertaking a major site relocation project. We are seeking an experienced and licensed Electrician to assist with the safe disconnection, relocation, installation, and commissioning of production equipment and facility infrastructure at our new premises.

The Role

Working closely with our operations, maintenance, and project teams, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful transfer of machinery, electrical systems, and associated equipment from our current facility to our new site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely disconnect and reconnect industrial machinery and production equipment.
  • Install and commission electrical infrastructure at the new facility.
  • Conduct fault-finding and testing of electrical systems.
  • Assist with the relocation and installation of switchboards, power distribution systems, and control panels.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical standards, regulations, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Coordinate with contractors, riggers, and project managers throughout the relocation process.
  • Complete required documentation, testing records, and compliance certificates.
  • Support production start-up activities following relocation.

    Skills & Experience

  • Current Electrical Licence.
  • Proven experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with machinery installation, relocation, or commissioning projects.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Understanding of three-phase power systems, motor controls, and industrial equipment.
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.

    Desirable

  • Experience in diecasting, foundry, metal manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Working at Heights, EWP, Forklift, or High-Risk Work qualifications.
  • Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and automation systems.
