Our client is a well-established engineering and equipment supplier supporting the Australian mining industry. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality products and technical expertise, they provide specialised solutions to major mining operations across the country. Due to ongoing demand, an opportunity is available for an Electrical Service Engineer to join their team based in the Mackay region.
Your new role
As an Electrical Service Engineer, you will provide critical field service support across mining operations, ensuring equipment reliability and maintaining strong customer relationships.Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide service and technical support to mining operations across Central Queensland and NSW
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical and mechanical equipment issues
  • Participate in a rostered team environment providing ongoing operational support
  • Conduct inspections, fault-finding, repairs, and maintenance activities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with site personnel and customers
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and professional standards
  • Assist with equipment commissioning and technical support activities
  • Travel to customer sites as required

What you'll need to succeed
Electrical Trade CertificateProven field service experience within mining, heavy industry, or related sectorsWillingness to assist with mechanical work when requiredStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsAbility to work autonomously and within a team environmentFlexibility to work overtime and respond to operational requirementsExcellent communication and customer relationship management skillsPrevious exposure to shearer loaders and/or longwall systems is highly regarded but not essentialCommitment to safety and professional standards
