Electrical Fitter

Client: We, Heinemann Electric Pty Ltd Trading as CBI-electric, based in Dandenong South, VIC are a long-established national business building main switchboards, distribution boards, GMPs and temporary power boards as well as turnkey projects. We are currently going through a high growth stage with expansion plans.
Role: There is an immediate requirement for a suitably qualified Electrical Fitter (Electrician -General) to work as part of a large team. You will need to be a team player and be able to work autonomously within the company structure. This is a full-time position working in switchboard assembly. Position will be for an immediate start. Your duties include:
• Deciding the order and methods of operation through examining wiring diagrams and specifications to Australian standards
• Measuring and laying out installation reference points
• Assembling, mounting and connecting control gear and switchgear
• Cutting and connecting wire and cable to terminals and connectors
• Tracing and diagnosing faults by using electrical and electronic test instruments and conduct electrical tests
• Controlling external devices through development of structured programs
• Testing continuity of circuit by connecting electrical systems to power supply
Requirements:
- Trade certificate in Electrical trade
- Preferably switchboard manufacturing experience
- Ability to understand mechanical and electrical drawings
- Familiar with switchboard wiring rules and regulations AS3000 and AS61439
- You will need to bring your own tools and safety gear. Some basic tools will be provided by the company
Salary: AUD $76,000 - $80,000 per annum plus superannuation.
